Dr. Asad Ullah is an Associate Professor of mathematics and Director of the Graduate School at   Karakoram International University Gilgit, Pakistan (KIU). He is associated with the department of Mathematical Sciences as faculty member since 2006. Dr. Asad Ullah obtained his Masters Degree from KIU with distinction (Gold medal) in 2006 and Doctors Degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) in 2013. He has published more than 100 research articles in reputed international journals and peer reviewed international conferences. Due to his outstanding research in the field, he has achieved commendable recognition and esteemed accolades, including the prestigious "International OBADA PRIZE 2024" supported by the African Academy of Sciences, "Dr. M. Raziuddin Siddiqi Prize and Gold Medal in mathematics (Under 40)" from Pakistan Academy of Sciences, "Best Paper award" from TMS, USA and "2nd Prize in Natural Sciences" from CSSIA China. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the "Journal of Mountain Area Research" (Official publication of Karakoram International University) and an Academic Editor of several esteemed JCR-listed journals including Plos One, Journal of Mathematics, IET Signal Processing and Advances in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, he is a regular reviewer of more than 80 reputed JCR-listed international journals, most of them are of high impact. He is also serving as  grant proposal reviewer of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and other funding agencies. Dr. Asad's research focuses on the areas of applied and computational mathematics including Graph theory, computational geometry & combinatorial topology, mathematical morphology, digital image processing and machine learning, applied to problems in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry and Biology. His notable research contributions mainly focus on the mathematical modeling and topological characterization of microstructures, nanostructures and molecular structures.
